A superbly built closed back headphone with smoothness at its core!

The Meze Audio Strada headphone is a state-of-the-art closed back. From the Macassar Ebony faceplates to the incredible Jaguar Green finish it welcomes you with one of the most stunning earcups I’ve ever seen. The headband uses two copper-coloured poles and a comfortable band which is leather on the outside and breathable mesh on the inside, with decent cushioning. The leather ear pads are soft, spacious and well made. Overall is a 10/10 design and another great statement piece from Meze!

On the sound side these are “weird”. You would expect a more prominent bass from them, instead it is a fat no. Bass is decently balanced, with a good seam and not too much bleeding in the mid frequencies…what is instead immediately appereant is that they like a bit of volume/power to properly open up. What I like the most is the smoothness of sound and how, compared to the 99 Classics V2, they lose the speaker feeling to become more natural sounding! I love them paired with my Gremlin amp, it is a killer combo and one of the best listening experiences I’ve ever had!
